I bought the skimmer from someone who never set up his tank, so this was new old stock never seen water. Set up my tank 6 months ago and also have the bigger Diablo return pump. Skimmer has been working great until today. Dc-5500s pump wont run and I tried cleaning the pump, swapped power supplies and controller from return pump to help trouble shoot. It spins for a second and stops if I manually play with the propeller. What are my options?

in this case, since you purchased the skimmer second hand, it is not covered under warranty. I would suggest trying a new impeller first and see if that works. If not, you can always send the pump in for paid repair. To do that, start a private ticket and we can provide you an RA number and the information on how to send the pump in.
