I am getting a ton of bubbles in the display. I looked at the skimmer and found bubbles coming from around the intake and exhaust holes. I took it apart and mad sure they were both tight. Now it is leaking tons of bubbles from the base plate. Made sure all the screws are tight but leaking horribly. I shouldn't have to silicone it but that's all I can think of

Did it just start doing it? Have you added anything to the tank? Food, medication, water change? How long has it been doing it? Temporary production on micro bubbles by a skimmer is normal but usually clears out in time or by using carbon.

That probably will do it. Give it a few hours and it will go back to normal.

It was but seems worse now. Getting too many bubbles in the body and they come out from baseplate and around the holes in body even though fittings are tight

Did you rinse the carbon before adding it to the tank? Have you added any type of chemicals to the tank? Medication, algae remover, red slime remover, stress coat, dechlorinator? Anything besides food?
