I just hooked up my new classic 150s and was wondering if there is any kind of adjustment to make the flow higher or lower. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, the adjustment is done by the red valve. It regulates the amount of water exiting the skimmer. If you close it, the water level inside the skimmer will go up and if you open, the water level inside the skimmer will go down.

In terms of regulating the flow of water from the pump, it cannot be done as the pump only runs in one speed. Regulating the amount of air intake is not recommended as it will decrease the efficiency of the skimmer.

Is there a preferred flow?

No, there is only one flow. The pump does not change speed so the pump dictates the amount of water going into the skimmer.

Maybe I’m saying it wrong but is there a preferred adjustment to the red valve for the right water level in the skimmer. Because right now all I’m getting is water and no foam ( protein) collection.

How deep (in actual inches) is the skimmer running?

Meaning the water level OUTSIDE the skimmer.

Which one is it? In terms of skimmers, 1" is a HUGE difference.
