Fast flashing blue LED alarm/audible alarm

To whom it may concern,
Purchased new Smart ATO and set it up yesterday on sump tank(17 gallon sump/50 gallon main tank). Ran thru set up procedure and adjusted water level without any issues. ATO started pump and filled sump up to set level. Totally happy with easy set up and operation. Today(approx 26 hours later), the blue LED alarm flashes quickly with audible alarm. Checked water level which was spot on. No algae for interference. Rest ATO alarm by unplugging power supply and reconnected. Alarm off = good! My question is this: will I have to run thru this procedure evry 24-26 hours because the sump and tank have minimal evaporation rate and the Smart ATO senses that refill not necessary within next 24-26 hour period? Upon reading thru instruction manual, reference is made to time frames being doubled for each subsequent refill time if the previous refill time was shorter than the next refill time(ie-over the next 6 hour refill). Please help if there is anything possible to remedy this situation. My set up normally requires topping off the sump every 36-40hours due to evaporation.
