Hello, I've had this skimmer for a little over a year and I did maintenance cleaning and now it leaks at the elbow that connects from the skimmer to the pump does this part need to be replaced so often? I've taken it apart and tried to reinstall it a few time and it still leaks.

Did you check the o-ring and make sure that it is installed correctly? Also did you check for any signs of cracks or damaged. There is no reason why it should leak unless it is cracked or the o-ring is not installed correctly.
