I purchased a new sro5000-ext from Exquisite Reefs and unfortunately it arrived with the base cracked from shipping. Does coralvue offer acrylic repair? If not is there a company that could be recommended for repair? The company I purchased the skimmer has offered me $200 for the damage but will not offer a replacement.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. Have you contacted the shipping company? Was the box insured for the full amount? If it was damaged during shipping, the shipping company should be able to cover the damage as long as the sender insured the package for the right amount.
We do repair skimmers but it has to do with the extent of the damage. Do you have any pictures of the damage that you can attach to this ticket?

The shipper filed a claim for the skimmer three weeks ago. FedEx will only deal with the shipper because they only have a contract with the sender. The sender has been very vague about the claim. This seems to be my only option.

If your shipper is being vague about the handling and how the shipped the product, I would recommend contacting your credit card company. Can you send me pictures of the damaged part(s)? You can attach them to this ticket using the small paper clip located inside the message field.

I can not see the inside well enough to verify if the crack goes all the way through due to the way the base is manufactured. I don't want to put water in it to test because of the ongoing claim. I assume the base could be cut away and replaced a new one. If it is repairable, what would be the estimated cost for the repairs and how would shipping be handled.
