Kamoer F1 won't connect to network - You've heard this one before

I have a brand new Kamoer F1 pump and the app never connects to the network. I see on the reef forums that this is a common problem.

I'm running the current version of the app, released 6 days ago. My iPhone shows the pump is connected by Bluetooth. My router tells me the pump has been added to my network but the app just sits on the Connecting to Network screen and never completes. I tried to attach screenshots but the upload here fails.

Any solutions or do I have to just return it to BRS ?
